NLE Choppa to headline ETSU Spring Concert

By

East Tennessee State University has announced that NLE Choppa will headline the Student Government Association (SGA) Spring 2025 concert, with guest artists Kaliii and Josh Levi also taking the stage.

The concert will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, at Freedom Hall Civic Center.

NLE Choppa has established himself as a prominent figure in hip-hop, accumulating over 5.5 billion streams, multiple Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)-certified plaques and several Billboard Hot 100 hits — all before the age of 22. From collaborating with industry veterans like Lil Wayne on “AIN’T GONNA ANSWER” to releasing high-charting albums like “Cottonwood 2,” the Memphis-born artist demonstrates both musical versatility and personal growth. His songs about overcoming struggles and celebrating wins have won impressive reviews from Billboard, The New York Times, Forbes, GQ and Complex.

Kaliii, an American rapper from Roswell, Georgia, found breakthrough success through a single in 2020 before releasing her debut mixtape “This Why They Mad Now” in 2021. That same year, she dropped the ATL Jacob-produced “MMM MMM,” which quickly became a fan favorite, thanks to Kaliii’s understated, sultry delivery. In similar fashion, “Area Codes,” her cheeky 2022 ode to potential suitors, dominated social media with its thumping production and memorable lyrics and earned platinum certification by the RIAA.
