The Beatles’ Albums Record Matched By Rapper Future

Future returns to the top spot on the Billboard 200 this week. The rapper’s new project, Mixtape Pluto, arrives at No. 1 with 129,000 equivalent units shifted. The set is another leader for the hip-hop superstar, and this latest one is special, as it helps him manage a feat that very few artists in history have come even close to accomplishing.

Mixtape Pluto marks Future’s third new No. 1 album of 2024. He’s accrued his trio of champions in just six months, which is nearly unfathomable for many names in the music world.

The Fab Four racked up bestseller after bestseller between 1965 and 1966, when they were in the process of taking over the world. In just six months, the rockers landed three No. 1s between July 1965 and January 1966. That roundup includes the classics Beatles VI, Help!, and Rubber Soul.

Future scored a pair of collaborative No. 1s on the Billboard 200 earlier in 2024. He and Metro Boomin landed in first place with We Don’t Trust You and its sequel, We Still Don’t Trust You. Both of those projects dominated in the month of April.
